CERTIFICATION OF MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS

Indeed many years ago, from Lord Kelvin’s and other scientists of the day’s words the awareness arose, that a culture based on scientific knowledge, that means objective and measurable, represents a portentous tool for social and technological progress.

At present time, knowledge of customers’ expectations, mastery of internal processes together with a management based on principles of objectivity, measurement and effectiveness result to be levers for competition in a hard market like the global one. Models of management proposed by international regulation, by now spread in any sector, have such contents and represent the main road which any organization can voluntarily take for pursuing systematization and improvement of its performance.

From its long and consolidated experience in the field of product certification, SIDELMED S.p.A. has extended its area of activity also to MANAGEMENT SYSTEM CERTIFICATION. Following to the cooperation with Slovak company ASTRAIA s.r.o., since 16th January 2008, SIDELMED S.p.A. is so assisting by the certification services in compliance to International standards ISO.

WHO IS  ASTRAIA

 ASTRAIA®  is a internationally active certification body accredited by the Czech Institute for Accreditation (ČIA), registered under the evidence number S 3126 and by the Slovak National Accreditation Service (SNAS) under the evidence number 231/SK-V-0001.

ASTRAIA® is the only one Slovak accredited subject for the performance of the environmental verification within the scheme of EU called EMAS and the first subject in Slovakia accredited for the certification of the Food Safety Management System according to the ISO 22000:2005 norm requirements. All certificates of the management systems issued by the certification body ASTRAIA® are accredited, it means internationally valid and accepted, thanks to his adhesion to MLA (Multi Lateral Agreement).

The certification body ASTRAIA® is currently operating besides Slovak Republic and Italy also in Czech Republic, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and India. For further details please see ASTRAIA website: www.astraia.sk

SIDELMED S.p.A. is assisting to certification body ASTRAIA S.r.o. in certification activities in compliance to the following certification schemes:

  • ISO 9001: 2008 (Quality Management System)

  • ISO 14001: 2004 and EMAS (Environment Management System)

  • OHSAS 18001:2007 (Occupational Health & Safety Management System)

  • ISO 22000: 2005 (Food Safety Management System)

  • ISO 27001: 2005 (Information Security Management System)

 

WHAT IS MLA

In order to solve the problem of recognition of particular certificates among organizations belonging to different countries in 1991 European cooperation for Accreditation (EA) was founded, a coordination body which gathers European Accreditation Bodies from several countries, among which there is Sincert for Italy, CAI for Czech Republic  and SNAS for Slovak Republic.

With such a purpose EA elaborated a Multi Lateral Agreement (MLA), undersigned by Accreditation Bodies of several countries. On the basis of such agreement, subscribing Accreditation Bodies have committed themselves to recognize as equivalent the certificates issued by Certification Bodies accredited by them.

Sidelmed S.p.A., as a commercial partner of certification Astraia S.r.o., can therefore assists by the issue of certificates fully recognized both in Italy and in the rest of Europe, valid to all intents and purposes for participating to call for bids, competitions, funding, etc. The certificates are fully recognized, both in Italy and abroad, and are expendable in all sectors including EA 28 (construction companies, plumbing) - for which it was granted recognition ACCREDIA / SINCERT in accordance with the Rules Technical RT-05 - including for the participation in tenders, requests for funding, enrollment SOA.
